On May 28-29, 2021, the National Building Steel Structure Industry Conference and the Fourth National High end Forum on Green Development of Steel Structure Buildings were held in Wuhan. The annual conference was themed "Green Leadership, Intelligent Construction, Achieving High quality Development of Steel Structure Buildings", focusing on the coordinated development of intelligent construction and industrialized construction, accelerating the deep integration of digital technology with lean manufacturing and green construction, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the entire steel structure industry chain, achieving the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality", comprehensively improving the quality, technology and application level of steel structure buildings, and taking the industry development to a new height.
During the conference, Zhongnan Steel Structure was awarded the title of Excellent Enterprise in Science and Technology Innovation and the First Prize in Science and Technology in the Construction Steel Structure Industry in 2021. Wang Zaisheng, Vice General Manager of Zhongnan Steel Structure, was recognized as an outstanding talent in science and technology innovation. General Manager Wang Yuwei, along with 15 comrades including Yuan Guoping, Wang Zaisheng, Wang Junjie, and Wang Haishan, were awarded the First Prize in Science and Technology by the China Building Metal Structure Association. Through innovative development, the technical strength of Zhongnan Steel Structure has become stronger and has become a national high-tech enterprise. It has been approved as a provincial-level enterprise research institute, provincial-level research and development center, postdoctoral workstation and other innovative platforms; In the past three years, Zhongnan Steel Structure has completed more than 40 scientific and technological achievements, which have been applied to the construction of more than 20 projects. The technical level of 18 new products has been identified by experts as leading or above in China. It has obtained 1 provincial construction method, 9 invention patents, 59 utility model patents, participated in the development of 6 standard regulations, and published 19 papers. Zhongnan Steel Structure has achieved remarkable technological innovation results.

The scientific and technological achievement of "Research on the Construction Technology of Large Span Crescent shaped Flexible Cable Membrane Structure" developed by Zhongnan Steel Structure has been successfully applied for the construction of Wuyuanhe Sports Stadium. A total of 4 invention patents and 5 utility model patents have been applied for, and 1 paper has been published. The overall technical level has reached the leading level in China and won the first prize of Science and Technology. Fifteen comrades including Wang Yuwei, Yuan Guoping, Wang Zaisheng, Wang Junjie, Wang Haishan, Jiang Yongyang, Tang Haijiang, Liu Jihu, Zhang Ke, Wang Qun, Tang Guocai, Li Da, He Wenjun, Chen Zhiwei, and Qin Chengwen who participated in the research and development have won the first prize of Science and Technology of China Building Metal Structure Association.
