On May 17th, the Zhejiang Provincial Government held the Provincial Conference on High Quality Development of the Construction Industry in Hangzhou. At the meeting, Governor Zheng Zhajie emphasized that the construction industry involves thousands of households, urban image, and high-quality economic and social development. All regions and departments should conscientiously study and implement the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping, fully implement the deployment requirements of the central and provincial committees, deeply implement the new development concept, comprehensively promote the high-quality development of the construction industry, and build an important window of "China Construction". The conference also announced and awarded the National Model City and Industrial Base for Prefabricated Buildings in 2020, Zhejiang Province Demonstration City and Industrial Base for Construction Industrialization, and Zhejiang Province Demonstration Enterprise for Modernization of Construction Industry. Zhejiang Zhongnan Construction Group Steel Structure Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of "National Prefabricated Building Industry Base". Since the strong promotion of prefabricated construction in the country, Zhongnan Steel Structure has actively responded to national policy orders and continuously explored and practiced in the field of prefabricated construction technology, achieving great results. In recent years, Zhongnan Steel Structure has accelerated its innovation pace, organized technical forces to explore and develop new technologies and processes for prefabricated construction, and jointly developed new technologies in the field of prefabricated construction with well-known universities such as Tsinghua University. It has developed a batch of clear and practical technology patents such as "A Wave Steel Plate Concrete Composite Structure and Its Computer Controlled Forming Method" and "Prefabricated Truss Composite Anti Side Structure"; In 2017, Zhongnan Steel Structure collaborated with Tsinghua University to jointly develop the "Wave Steel Plate Composite Structure System" technology for high-rise residential buildings, which was recognized by the Science and Technology Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development and five academicians of the National Academy of Engineering. They unanimously agreed that the research results of the project have reached the international advanced level and have high application prospects. On March 1, 2020, the "Technical Specification for Corrugated Steel Plate Composite Structures" jointly edited by Zhongnan Steel Structure and Tsinghua University was reviewed by the Steel Structure Professional Committee of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association and officially became a national industry standard. The implementation of this specification provides a new and regulated structural system for the development of the national prefabricated building industry, further promoting the development process of China's prefabricated building industry.
While actively exploring new technologies for prefabricated buildings, Zhongnan Steel Structure is accelerating the transformation of scientific research achievements into productivity. Two large industrial bases located in Xiaoshan District and Fuyang District of Hangzhou have fully invested in the production and manufacturing of prefabricated building products. The independently developed prefabricated technology achievements have been fully applied in many prefabricated building projects undertaken by Zhongnan Steel Structure, such as Building 7 in Zone A of Xiangde Residential Project in Sanhe City, Hebei Province, Four Seasons Huayu and Rongmingmingdi projects in Luohu, Cangzhou, and 1 # and 2 # high-rise residential buildings in Jianger Community, Binjiang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, achieving significant economic and social benefits and receiving widespread praise from the industry and society.
