The Hohhot Cultural Living Room is located in Saihan District, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, also known as the "Eye of Qingcheng". Its exterior design has a simple and beautiful modern feel, presenting a three-dimensional experience of visual and sensory collision between culture and nature. The project is surrounded by four themed buildings, including Inner Mongolia Local Chronicles Museum, Municipal Library, Municipal Archives Bureau, Municipal Performing Arts Center, Municipal Ethnic Youth Palace, Municipal Folk Culture Exhibition Hall and other rich and diverse cultural spaces, as well as a series of complete supporting facilities. It is a super large tourism and cultural complex.
The total construction area of the project is about 282400 square meters. The company undertakes the steel structure engineering of the above ground parts such as Building 3 and the connecting corridor. The structural form is steel frame+steel truss structure. The total construction area of the steel structure engineering is about 42700 square meters, and the highest structural height of the building is 42 meters. The maximum span of the main steel truss structure is 35 meters, and the maximum weight of a single truss during hoisting is about 45 tons; The maximum span of the corridor steel truss is 42 meters, and the maximum weight of a single truss is about 15 tons. The Hohhot Cultural Living Room, which has been completed as the main structure, has a large circular shape. The steel truss with circular inner and outer edges is extremely difficult to construct throughout the project. The construction personnel assembled and lifted the entire structure on site according to the construction plan, and completed each operation with excellent skills. After inspection and measurement, all of them met the design requirements.
The project management team strictly implements the construction plan to arrange construction operations, scientifically formulates phased operation plans, fully utilizes BIM technology for operation guidance and difficulty analysis, and combines traditional construction experience with 3D animation application to implement project construction management. While the steel structure engineering is smoothly constructed, it also ensures safe construction and efficient cooperation during the cross operation of multiple trades by various construction parties.
In the face of adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, sandstorms, and long winters in the local area, the project department has conducted pre job training and emergency drills for all staff during the construction process. The emergency plan leadership group has prepared in advance based on weather forecasts and strictly implemented safety protection measures for personnel and equipment during various operations such as steel component hoisting, high-altitude installation, high-altitude welding, and inspection and testing to ensure smooth and secure work. Especially in the topping out operation of the floating board structure, workers take effective measures such as closed management, setting up warm sheds, and keeping warm in low temperature weather of minus ten degrees Celsius to ensure the timely completion of construction tasks.
The smooth completion of the steel structure project has laid a solid foundation for the project construction to be completed according to the plan. The Hohhot Cultural Living Room has now demonstrated its majestic posture, standing tall on the vast land of Hohhot.
