On January 20th, the scientific research project "Key Technologies for Design and Construction of Offshore Photovoltaic Support Structures" applied by Zhongnan Green Construction was officially launched by the Provincial Department of Construction. The project is jointly undertaken by East China Survey Institute, CGN Zhejiang Company, Zhejiang Energy Group, Tiemu Xinke and other companies, aiming to develop modular offshore photovoltaic structural systems and related construction complete sets of technologies suitable for different marine environments, promote the construction and implementation of offshore photovoltaic projects, and help achieve the goals of carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.

The project leader gave a detailed report on the overall situation of the project, analyzed the current development status and trends in the field of offshore photovoltaics, and also identified the technical bottlenecks and challenges currently faced, such as diverse structural systems, tight schedules, and complex anti-corrosion processes. The overall objectives, main research content, technical route, schedule, and division of labor of the project were clarified. The project will conduct in-depth research on the system of modular offshore photovoltaic structures, new marine engineering materials, efficient anti-corrosion measures and methods for marine steel structures, and apply them in actual offshore photovoltaic projects. It is expected to form a series of scientific research results such as design standards, patents, and construction methods.
