In July of this year, the movie "In an Octagonal Cage" was released in major cinemas across the country, and the climax of the fighting competition at the end of the film was filmed at the Jinqiang International Competition Center, which was jointly built by Zhongnan Green Construction Group.
The Jinqiang International Competition Center is located in Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 60 acres with a total investment of 900 million yuan and a total construction area of approximately 162200 square meters. The venue has a unique shape and smooth lines, inspired by the blue whale swimming vigorously and moving forward in the logo of Sichuan Jinqiang Basketball Club. It is one of the iconic buildings in Chengdu. The event center has a large Grade A sports arena with 14000 seats and corresponding supporting commercial complex facilities. The gymnasium is divided into 5 floors, with the first floor being the competition venue and the second to fifth floors being the audience seats. It is the first NBA level professional basketball venue in Sichuan Province and also the home stadium for Sichuan Jinqiang men's basketball team.
The company, relying on its strong comprehensive strength, has undertaken the construction of the roof steel structure truss project for the event center, with a building area of approximately 16000 square meters and a total tonnage of over 2200 tons. The main truss of the ceiling is divided into 10 trusses, with the largest single truss weighing 140 tons, a maximum length of 122 meters, and a maximum chord height of 9.43 meters.
At the project site, construction personnel utilized BIM technology and leading domestic steel truss structure top push sliding construction techniques for efficient guidance and orderly installation. In just 50 days, the assembly and welding of the ceiling were fully completed, shortening the construction period by at least 2 months and greatly saving construction space. At the same time, the company closely cooperates and collaborates with other construction units such as mechanical and electrical installation to achieve the first combination of steel structure and mechanical and electrical pipeline slip in China, greatly improving efficiency and quality.
In engineering construction, project management personnel and construction workers rely on their strong capabilities and advanced technology to successfully overcome difficulties such as limited installation sites, structural deformation due to temperature stress, and safety control of high-altitude operations. On the basis of high standards and high quality, the steel structure truss roof was completed ahead of schedule, creating more favorable conditions for the successful completion of the overall project construction.
Jinqiang International Sports Center is the first one-stop all-around sports complex in China that integrates large sports venues, fitness centers, exhibitions, and leisure parks. It has successfully hosted multiple national and provincial major sports events, playing a positive role in the development of sports in Sichuan Province and the country. The competition center meets the high-end professional UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) stage standards required for film production, providing a professional venue for the successful filming of movies. The company completed the construction task of the steel structure project for the roof of Jinqiang International Sports Center in just 50 days, which is a manifestation of the company's strong strength and the spirit of the Central South Railway Army.
