The Mingguang Sports Center project is located in Mingguang City, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, with a total construction area of approximately 44300 square meters. The project includes the construction of "one venue, three halls", namely a sports stadium, a multi-purpose hall, a sports hall, and a swimming pool. According to the construction lifting plan, the first crane of the sports center gymnasium project is a two-way inclined roof truss, which is 24 meters long, 21 meters wide, 6 meters high, and weighs about 32.7 tons. After being lifted by a 400 ton crawler crane, it is smoothly positioned between the facade truss and the central circular truss, with no deviation in installation points and precise closure. The precise positioning of the first truss marks the victory of the initial battle for the installation of the sports hall project, indicating that the lifting of the roof truss will proceed smoothly.

The roof structure system of the gymnasium is extremely complex, consisting of a large-span inclined arch shaped plane truss and a welded ball grid structure. It adopts a large-span cantilever steel truss structure system, with a span of 86.2 meters and a maximum structural height of about 30 meters. The angle between the main truss and the ground is about 45 °, and every two main trusses form a certain bending and twisting angle. The secondary components between the main trusses also have different angles with the horizontal plane, forming a complex combination bending and twisting system. The manufacturing, assembly, and hoisting of the trusses are extremely difficult. Based on the characteristics of the project, the company's technical department has carefully organized and formulated a scientifically reasonable technical plan, which has successfully passed expert verification; The plan divides the main truss into a facade section and a roof section. Every two main trusses of the roof structure, as well as the secondary trusses and connecting members between them, are combined into a block unit. This allows the block unit to be assembled on the ground and adjusted for errors through tire frame finding, greatly reducing the number of construction personnel involved in high-altitude welding operations and comprehensively improving construction quality and safety.
