On the morning of December 21, 2021, Zhongnan Steel Structure, together with Nanjing University of Technology and Quzhou College, held a postdoctoral thesis review meeting at the Fuyang production base. The review panel was composed of five experts: Professor Song Linhui and Professor Yue Keqin from Nanjing University of Technology, Professor Yao Jian, Dean of the School of Architecture and Engineering at Quzhou College, Vice General Manager Wang Zaisheng, and Technical Advisor Zhao Diansheng from Zhongnan Steel Structure. Attendees included Zhu Jianfu, member of the Party Committee and second level researcher of the Fuyang District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau in Hangzhou, Chen Shumin, Director of the Talent Development Department, and Wang Haishan, Executive Vice General Manager of Zhongnan Steel Structure. At the review meeting, Dr. Xu Youwu presented his research topic, and the members of the expert group raised relevant questions and suggestions on the topic. The final review panel unanimously agreed to approve the proposal.

This evaluation meeting will be held in a combination of online and offline methods. Professor Yao Jian, Dean of the School of Architecture and Engineering at Quzhou University, Professor Song Linhui and Professor Yue Keqin from Nanjing University of Technology, Director Yang Mengfei from Nanjing University of Technology, and Dr. Xu Youwu will participate in this evaluation meeting through online conference. At the meeting, Dr. Xu Youwu gave the opening report on "Research and Application of Residual Stress Distribution Model for Space Curve Circular Steel Pipe", elaborating on the research significance of the project, analysis of the current research status of similar projects at home and abroad, research objectives, research content, key problems to be solved, research methods adopted, expected target results, etc. The aim of this project is to determine a residual stress distribution model for space curve circular steel pipe considering processing and aging effects, providing theoretical guidance for the design and residual stress elimination of space curve circular steel pipe components in practical engineering.

After listening to Dr. Xu Youwu's opening report, the review team conducted on-site questioning and raised several questions and suggestions on the research project from the perspective of technology transfer to practical engineering. Dr. Xu Youwu provided corresponding answers to the questions raised by the experts and fully listened to their opinions.
After argumentation and review, the members of the review team unanimously agreed that Dr. Xu Youwu's analysis of the key problems to be solved in the project was accurate, the research methods for solving the key problems were innovative, the technical route was feasible, and the research plan was reasonable. After discussion among the members of the assessment team, all five people unanimously agreed to Dr. Xu Youwu's project proposal "Research and Application of Residual Stress Distribution Model for Spatial Curve Circular Steel Pipe". Afterwards, Dr. Xu Youwu will carry out his work according to the relevant requirements of the proposal report. As the judging panel draws to a close, Professor Song Linhui from Nanjing University of Technology expressed his high recognition of the technological innovation of Zhongnan Steel Structure and his confidence in this school enterprise cooperation.
