Recently, the steel canopy project of the Fenghua Sports Center Stadium in Ningbo, undertaken by Zhongnan Steel Structure, has successfully completed the main structure topping out construction after 46 days of lifting operations.
The Fenghua Sports Center Stadium Steel Shield Shed Project is located within the Fenghua District Sports Center in Ningbo City. The sports center covers an area of nearly 150 acres and is planned to consist of 7000 sports stadiums, 700 swimming pools, and other supporting ancillary buildings, with a total construction area of 35000 square meters. The facades of each building in the sports center present different rhythms, with gradually rising curves forming gentle curves, like waves pushing waves, reflecting the characteristics of Fenghua's local "mountain and sea culture", connecting people and architecture, sports and life, wisdom and a beautiful vision for the future.

The structure of the steel dome of the sports stadium adopts a steel pipe three-dimensional truss structure system, mainly composed of 34 radial cantilevered main trusses in the east-west direction and 7 circumferential secondary trusses forming a spatial truss. The span and height of the main truss are arranged according to the building shape, with a maximum cantilevered span of more than 20 meters. The main truss is hinged to the concrete, and the truss nodes are welded nodes with steel pipes intersecting. The long axis length in the north-south direction is nearly 210 meters, the short axis length in the east-west direction is nearly 190 meters, and the highest point elevation exceeds 29 meters. The front and rear double support nodes have a complex structural shape. Set up a circular racecourse along the outline of the canopy, with a net width of 0.8 meters. The main truss is an inverted triangular truss system, and the cross-section of the members is mainly circular. During the construction process, all trusses are assembled and welded on site, and undergo strict non-destructive testing and other inspections. After completion, they are lifted in sequence to the qualified component storage yard. In addition, a 200 ton crawler crane was selected for component hoisting in the project, and the crane's position and walking route were determined based on the site conditions. The construction measures of setting up support frames with six trusses in the middle were adopted, effectively ensuring the construction safety of the project. The metal roof system of the sports stadium adopts a concealed vertical locking edge fixing method. The roof materials are polycarbonate wave shaped transparent board, aluminum manganese magnesium alloy roof panel, and 2.5mm aluminum veneer in sequence. The roof structure is complex and the shape is exquisite and beautiful.
